Curently doing Postdoc at IETR,University of Rennes,France.Was a Research Associate at Electrical Engineering Department, University of Arkansas, United States. I have 9years of teaching experience at graduate level ( digital and analog electronics, Microprocessors, Digital Signal processing communication etc..,) and four years of research experience in the field of Microwave Communication. Having 17 international reputed journal (like IEEE, IEE, MOTL etc) publications and 15 international (IEEE, APMC, PIER etc) / National conference publication. I had completed Masters and PhD in Electronics from Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Cochin, India with First Rank in 1999 and 2007 respectively. Presently reviewer of the international journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications published from USA. Research Topic: Dielectric resonator antenna for multi frequency operation Thesis Title: Hexagonal Dielectric Resonator Antenna- A novel DR antenna for wireless communication. Developed a new geometry hexagonal shaped dielectric resonator antenna for multiple frequency operation. DRAs have been of research interest during the last two and a half decades due its low loss, high efficiency, small size compared to conventional antennas. Many shapes of DRAs are fabricated and studied. A newly shaped hexagonal geometry is used for producing multifrequency of operation with a single feed of excitation. This antenna finds application in PCS, WLAN applications. The electromagnetic modeling of HDRA is done using FDTD method. Lecturer at the Department of Electronics, W.M.O Government Aided College, Kalpetta, Wayanad, Kerala from Feb 2004 to Jan 2005. Senior research fellow in a DST project of government of India at dept of Electronics, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala, India, July 2003 to Jan 2004 Major projects handled: • Microwave Imaging of Biological Objects for Medical Applications using Free Space Complex Permittivity measurements • Coupling media, phantom model and antenna development for the microwave medical imaging set up. It is unique in India. The fund for this project had given by the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The aim of this project was to develop an image scanner using microwaves. Microwave imaging is a field of research, which has been of great interest to scientists. By understanding the dielectric parameters of the normal tissues and the changes in the values in different pathological conditions, a practitioner can diagnosis the condition by biological imaging in the microwave region. It is of great advantage wherever a pathological condition is depicted as a change in the dielectric properties of the tissues. (6 months) Supervisor: Mrs. T. Rathnamani – Scientist –E, Signal Processing division. Designed and developed reconfigurable digital FIR and IIR filters using VHDL and implemented on Xilinx FPGA chip.
