Experience: 10 years
My name is Ana Paula. I am Brazilian and I teach Portuguese for foreigners. I have a B.A. in Portuguese and German (1998) and a M.A. in (French) Discourse Analysis in Portuguese Language (2008) from the University de São Paulo (Brazil).
I have worked for many different language institutes and companies in São Paulo (Brazil), either working with individual students or groups, face-to-face or online courses. I have also worked at the Portuguese Language Course for Exchange Students at the Faculty of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting of University of São Paulo (Brazil).
My classes are based on a communicative approach which emphasizes the use of Portuguese in real-life situations by developing the four linguistics skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Therefore I give interactive activities which encourage oral/writing communication and self-expression. Furthermore, I always try to teach the Grammar and vocabulary in context in order to encourage students to use the forms and functions presented in class in meaningful ways.
In my classes I use material taken from internet, newspapers, books and magazines. I like to work with videos, music, podcasts, dialogues, fill-in sheets and handouts.
I teach all levels, according to your needs and your timetable. 1-2-1 and group lessons.
