is
very
different
than
attending
 a
class.
In
a
tutoring
 situation, the
student
comes
 prepared
 to
 ask
questions,
and
 to
receive
instruction
 based
on
materials
he/she
 is
already
 studying.
 Perhaps
the
student
 will
use
this
 time
for
reviewing
vocabulary, further
grammatical explanations or practice, reviewing
quizzes, tests, test preparation, homework, or essays written. I will come
 to
the
session
without
 preparing
a
"lesson" per say, however I will want to know in advance what the topic to be covered will be so I can do some preparation. Conversation Sessions In a conversation session, the student comes prepared to talk about a specific topic that they have elected and that is important/interesting to them. This could be a job related or family related topic as well as a hobby or interest that you are involved in etc. I will want to know in advance what the topic to be discussed is, so that I can be prepared to ask appropriate questions, play devil's advocate or generally participate in the conversation with interest and enthusiasm. I may want to assign a particular conversation topic that I feel would benefit the students Spanish education as well.
