I use the Growing Participator Approach (GPA) language learning method. The method uses a six phased program approach. Phase one is "The Here-and-Now Phase," the learner listens to instructions and questions and responds non-verbally, learning a large vocabulary and simple grammar structures. The second phase "The Story-Building Phase," begins the process of the learning to speak using wordless picture stories. The third phase "The Shared Story," helps learners develop their conversational ability. The fourth phase is the "Deep Life Sharing" phase, the participant shares from their own background. The fifth phase "Native-to-Native Discourse" phase, is where it leads the learner to talk about some of the more challenging areas for the learner. The sixth phase called the "Self-Sustaining Growth" phase, is an extended phase that is built on the learners ability to understand the target language.
