I am available to tutor students in preparation for the Test Of English as a Foreign Language, also known as "TOEFL."
4. Junior Standard/Comprehensive
TOEFL determines a non-native's ability to use and understand English in an academic setting. The Standard/Comprehensive test is generally given to students ranging from 11 to 14 years of age, for a general assessment of middle school-level English-language proficiency. The other tests have become a requirement for admission to U.S. colleges and universities.
More and more, the TOEFL, or variations of it are becoming a required test in American businesses and other institutions where English language proficiency is a necessary requirement for employment.
Non-native students from the age of 15 years and up, who are considering or planning to attend a U.S. school of higher learning, should invest in a minimum of three 'tutored' sessions to determine your overall strengths and weaknesses in the areas required to pass the TOEFL.
Adult ESOL (English Students of Other Languages)teaches adult students to effectively read, speak and understand English. Students also learn how to function in society through role-playing, writing and speaking in everyday situations where English is required (Finding a job, talking with their child's teacher,renting/buying a home, etc.) My "Certificate In English Language Teaching:TEFL/TESOL Teacher Training" covers teaching English as a foreign language as well as to speakers of "other" languages.
