Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 will enjoy working with me. Those who are accelerated and completing Algebra 1 in 8th grade will benefit immensely. I stress number theory and will explain the whys, what ifs, and justifications for doing one process compared to another. Those who need a hands on approach will be taught using this strategy. All students will be encouraged and coached using a variety of strategies for problem-solving. Common core standards will be infused into teaching wherever necessary.
