Math, Civil Engineering subjects and Environmental Engineering subjects
I have a Bachelor's degree from a State College here, in Kerala, in Civil Engineering. I later went on to get a Masters in Environmental Engineering from IIT, Roorkee (Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee). As a part of my Master's programme, I got a scholarship to go to Germany and work on my thesis at the Technical University of Darmstadt. My work was on converting Municipal Solid Waste to a bio-diesel additive.
I always wanted to be a teacher, and I do plan to pursue a PhD. I was teaching at a University here, and plan to continue teaching, as I have grown to love my job!!!

Learning should be fun! :)
The teacher has the ability to make or break a subject for the student. I have been inspired by the wonderful teachers who have made me the person I am today. One-on-one teaching is much better than classroon teaching at times, to allow discussions and promote further questioning of the subject matter. I love Math and Engineering subjects with numbers in them, and am not too keen to teach theory subjects. I believe that, with a firm base, the student should be able to solve problems later on their own. Learning the practical applications of each subject as you learn them, helps in looking at real life problems in a methodological way. Learning happens both ways, and hopefully, time spent on the subjects should keep both of us waiting for more!
My background is that I have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, with a Masters in Environmental Engineering. Math and number-related subjects are my strength. I am here hoping to make a difference and promote an interest in learning subjects that may otherwise seem to be heavy!
