I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and in Physics from San Francisco State University, from where I graduated summa cum laude and was the top student in my class. I also have a Master's degree in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Studying physics requires a LOT of math, so my training in it has trained me very well in math as well.
Experience: 12 years
As a physics graduate student, while getting my master's degree, I had to use the methods of differential equations all the time in almost all my classes and independent studies. This has made me quite comfortable with and knowledgeable about topics both in ordinary and partial differential equations.
Furthermore, I have lots of experience tutoring math in general, and I am good at spotting what is causing trouble. This is particularly useful for teaching differential equations, because it's a subject that requires somewhat of a change of paradigm to understand, coming from calculus and algebra classes.
