Teaching and Tutoring experience:
While working for a for-profit organization, I was highly motivated and committed to making mentoring and coaching my life’s work to facilitate constructive change in people’s lives. To start with, a particular strength of mine is teaching and tutoring, and despite the challenging job of marketing and office administration that requires quite a lot of time in fieldwork I still had some free time, which I dedicated to mentoring and training of old and new office employees and promoting optimal, quality, relationship management and customer service.
I function as the single point of contact for all of the onsite and online training and development needs of staff– and much more in one of the leading financial institutions in Nigeria. I was a member of the training development and delivery team, collaborating with training managers at the Head office to assure that training addresses identified needs of the staff. I consistently use in-service training as a management strategy to help the bank achieve it's mission and to promote "best practice" throughout the service system. I regularly use the online bank-training curriculum for monthly in-service training in the office. I engaged both support and professional staff to identify their learning needs; helping them set personal learning objectives; drawing on and incorporating staff past experiences and expertise; using experiential and interactive training methods; helping staff apply training content to their present job functions; and creating practice opportunities during the training session. Regularly I identify opportunities and activities to promote transfer of learning before, during, and after the weekly training session in the office. Assessing and providing feedback regarding staff acquisition of knowledge and skill at the completion of each weekly training; and recommending additional self-development and participation in other training activities to promote staff personal skill development.
I am also a United Nations online-volunteering member working as a faculty/ author/editor/translator for Professional Educational Organization International (a provider of University level courses free of charge) writing online university course in business administration. The task involves developing courses in business administration, including accounting, finance, management, marketing and strategic planning; Working on chapter text, cases, assignments, reading lists, summaries, class discussions, review and test questions, as well as research and add examples, statistics and citations; and Grading assignments, monitoring class discussions or answering student questions.
