My major is Foreing Trade Technology and my job experience is more related to the commercial field. Wich makes easier help you with specific vocabulary related to business. I took a graduate specialization course on Translation and Teaching Methodology. And I was fascinated by a new field called "Localization" which basically consists on customizing language content to the target audiences, including virtual and online environment. For that I chose my research paper on "Translation and Localization." During that course I could study a bit of linguistics as well, that involved connected speech.
I've been taught Foreigners online for almost a year. And I enjoy create lessons in cultural contexts, showing a little bit of daily life in Brazil and this huge scenery full of intercultural communication that we see every day. I also can show how we speak and part of linguistic variation that students won't find on Portuguese grammar books. Making students more aware of sounds and helping them understand natives in Brazil better. I speak English and a bit of Spanish.
Experience: 1 years
In my lessons you will have the chance to practice what you already know and learn new content related to topics that you are intrested in. I focus more on conversation, speaking and listening skills, which usually is the most difficult part of a language according to students. It's very important to connect the learning process with topics that you enjoy and surround your daily life with them. I also put your lessons in a cultural background according to your aim. If you plan to come to Brazil, your lessons will have the city you are coming to as a background. If you just want to practice for your daily life, your lessons will have a different backgroud. If you need to learn legal or business vocabulary, your lessons you'll be focused on that. So tell what you need and we will work on that.
