Former BBC Radio Journalist now an ESL teacher
The University of Birmingham (B.A. English)
International House, London (CELTA)
Experience: 1 years
After 25 year working as a producer for the BBC in the U.K. I retrained as an ESL teacher at International House in London and now teach at Universities, International Colleges and also take private one-to-one lessons.
I'm a great believer in 'learning through doing' and tailor my lessons to enable students of all levels to make progress toward their goals: whether that be to speak more fluently, write more professionally or just improve their English so they can travel and make a wider range of friends.
At the BBC I coached a large number of broadcast journalists all around the world. I have a fun, optimistic and practical approach which focusses on students' interests and strenghts. I also have a very clear British speaking style and find I can help a great deal with pronouncaiton.
I'm happy to teach in person, via Skype, individually or in groups.
