Do you want to be a better writer? These lessons are specifically designed for the IELTS exam (General/Academic), but can help anyone who wants to be a better writer, including the Cambridge exams. For each lesson, you’ll need to spend about 20 minutes reading notes and working on some sample questions, and about 30 minutes writing between 100--200 words. I’ll then give you detailed feedback on your writing, highlighting your strengths and offering suggestions to overcome your weaknesses.
I will need 48 hours notice for the first lesson.
Before we meet for the first time, I have some questions and a short writing question for you.
I recommend that you work through one or two lessons each week. I believe that 3 lessons a week would too much work and would not leave you time to think about the new information you are taking in.
These lessons are designed to help you score a 6 on Task 2 of the IELTS. Why 6? Why not aim for 7? or 9? First, it's practical. Most people only need a 6 in the writing section, so students can save some time and energy for the other parts of the exam. Second, it's realistic. Usually, it takes people about a year of weekly study and practice to improve their IELTS score by one band, so if you currently write at band 5 level, it’s a bit crazy to think I could help you move up to 8 in a few weeks!
Lessons can take place in Buddy School, Skype, Google Hangouts, or by email.
