I have au paired with many families throughout Spain and taught English in a Catalan Secondary School for one year. I have voluntarily taught refugees and have been teaching privately face to face and via Skype for around 2 years

About me

Hello!

My name is Emma, I'm 22, and have been teaching for around 2-3 years face to face and around 1 year via Skype. I was born in York, the north of England and moved to the south, near Brighton, a few months ago; I speak with a fairly neutral accent.

I can help you prepare for exams, improve your pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency.

I am a big believer that humour is the best way to learn a language! I have had many comments in the past such as "I can only hear laughing in your classes! What are you doing? Are you even learning anything?", the answer is YES. We learn and have fun. Forget your boring textbooks and old teachers from school who did nothing but grammar and verb drills with you.

I am very relaxed when I teach, and I treat you like a friend. I am dedicated to my work and am always there to answer questions for you, even when I am not teaching. I go the extra mile to push and help my students in any way that I can.
