Learn English from an American Author!
I have a Bachelor's Degree from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. I'm CELTA and TEFL certified, and I'm also certified as a literacy tutor through Dutchess County, NY.
Experience: 5 years
I'm the author of three published non-fiction books, and I've been a frequent contributor to various online news magazines and blogs. Here is a link to my first non-fiction book: http://www.amazon.com/Atlantis-Egyptian-Genesis-Ian-Driscoll/dp/1448655900/
I spent three years living in Peru, and teaching English on the ground to native Peruvians. I conducted daily English classes, with students ranging from beginners to intermediate English speakers. The classes varied in size from 6-20 students. We discussed current events, played language games; I shared American culture, and generally made myself available to answer any questions they may have had. Additionally, I kept records of subjects taught, prepared lessons from scratch, and offered tutoring services for one hour per week.
In August of 2012 I was hired to teach English online. In that capacity, I taught English via Skype, and conducted roughly 8 classes of 30 minutes each per day. I taught all levels of English learners, from beginners to advanced, from everywhere around the world. We used a virtual blackboard and online news articles as the basis for our lessons.
