I received my B.A. in French with Honors and graduated with a 4.0 in my French major. I was chosen to by the Department of French and Italian to make our Commencement Speech at Graduation. I have been tutoring French since I was a high school student, to individuals of all ages and levels.
Experience: 4 years
I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pittsburgh Honors College on a Full Tuition Honors College Scholarship in 2012 with a double major in French andItalian Language and Literature. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Last year, I scored above the 93rd percentile on my GRE Verbal and Writing sections, which contributed to my acceptance in the Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology program at Queens College, which only accepts 4% of applicants. In high school, I scored above the 98th percentile on the SAT/ACT Verbal sections. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA from all AP and honors classes.
I have been tutoring several subjects since high school. My first experience with formal classroom teaching was when I lived in Italy during my junior year of college and taught English to Italian-speaking high school students. Since graduating college, I have worked at the international Berlitz Language School, where I have taught English, French and Italian to children and adults of all levels and all language backgrounds. I also have years of experience teaching SAT classes at test prep companies in New York.
I tailor my lessons to each student I teach and to his or her individual learning styles. I am friendly, patient and not intimidating: three qualities that I personally find important in a tutor. I truly love teaching and meeting new students. I find that I always learn from my students when I teach as well! During our first lesson together, we can discuss your goals and create an academic plan personalized to your needs. I look forward to working with you!
