I have a Master's degree and a PhD in anthropology with a focus on physical anthropology, which is the study of human biology within an anthropological context. I also have an Associate's degree in animal health technology, and 11 years experience working with veterinarians in various medical contexts including emergency medicine, large animal and exotic animal medicine. I have worked for the past 19 years analyzing human skeletal and mummified remains from both archaeological and forensic contexts. I have 18 years of teaching experience working with students from underrepresented communities.
Experience: 20 years
I have 20 years of experience teaching students from a variety of backgrounds and levels of understanding in numerous difficult subjects. I can help you to understand human biology, anatomy and physiology. My students have commented on my ability to make difficult subjects understandable. If you need help in any aspect of human biology, I am available to assist you. I can help you to understand any part of the human body, such as the heart, or I can help you with integrated systems, such as the musculoskeletal system or circulatory system. We can also discuss the body as a whole. We can talk about form and function as well, and I can help you to understand the possible effects of the failure of an organ or system. I start by helping you to see the human body as an interconnected set of systems, much like a computer or car is an interconnected set of parts. Once you can see the body like that, you can better understand how everything works and the potential effects of the failure of one or more parts. I will work with you regardless of your current level of understanding. You tell me your level and what you need to learn, and we can work out a lesson plan to meet your educational goals. I can make myself available via Skype, WhatsApp, or email to give you a test lesson for 15 minutes so that you can see my style of teaching, and determine whether or not it is a good fit for you! I am very flexible on my availability; just contact me in advance to book a lesson! I look forward to working with you.
