About me

Hello! My name is Greg and I am a professional English teacher from London, England. I have a CELTA qualification and I have taught English in Spain, Japan, Bolivia and the United Kingdom.

I can teach you real English you will really use.

- English for work and university.

- English for travelling the world on vacation or business

- English for exams including Cambridge (KET, PET, FCE, CAE), Trinity, TOEIC and IELTS.

I can also help you with general conversation and informal English. I have a lot of really fun resources and I like to use all the powers of the internet to help you learn quickly and effectively.

I am also a language learner on Skype (I learn Spanish!) so I understand the difficulties that you experience as a language learner. I'm a language learner too! I hope to speak with you soon!

Qualifications & Experience

I have a Bachelors degree from a top UK university in English and American Literature.

I have a CELTA (Cambridge English teaching qualification) from International House Riviera Maya.

I have taught English all over the world, namely Spain (in Cadiz and Mellila), Japan (Saitama prefecture), Bolivia (La Paz) and the United Kingdom (Hampshire).

I have taught all ages and all abilities. I have also taught examination classes for Cambridge, Trinity, IELTS and TOEIC students.

I enjoy teaching many different types of classes, from general free conversation to exam preparation. Whatever your age or ability, I can help you!

Teaching Approach

I am committed to creating the very best lessons for you, my valued students. I care deeply about your progress and so I try to ensure that my lessons are fulfilling and effective. I have A LOT of resources from past experiences teaching overseas and I am always searching the internet for the newest and most exciting resources.

I am naturally a very calm, considerate, easy-to-talk-to person who respects that all language learners are different and is hard-working, reliable and well-organised. My past students have commented that my accent is very easy to understand (my accent is Received Pronunciation, the standard English accent of the UK). They have also commented that I give useful feedback on their mistakes, that I am very friendly and that I make English fun to learn.

My lessons are totally shaped by what you want to learn. In the first lesson I will discuss this with you and we can set some goals for us to achieve together.

Generally, my lessons follow the PPP (Present, Practice, Produce) method.

First, I will present the topic or material for the lesson. We can decide the topic for the lesson at the end of the previous lesson.

Second, we will practise the language together to build your confidence. Remember: mistakes are good. Making mistakes is how people learn.

Third, you will take control (with my help if you need it) and you will produce the aim of the lesson.

The most important aim for me as your teacher is that you have FUN! Don't worry, my classes are very relaxed and enjoyable. You will smile and laugh a lot!

So, don't wait a second longer! Let's connect and help you improve your English.
