BA English and French Literature and Language.
Multilingual kids camps and waterspots clubs in France and Ireland.
Experience: 4 years
I have recently graduated with a first-class honours Bachelor degree in English Literature and French Literature and Language from Trinity College, Dublin. During my third year at university I spent a semester studying abroad at Columbia University and Barnard College in New York, and I have also previously studied in Nancy and Bretagne in France. During my fourth and final year at university at Trinity I completed several 6,000 word dissertations specialising in Charles Dickens, while my main 12,000 word dissertation focused on Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. I therefore have four years experience of editing and researching in a demanding, competitive and academic environment. I am also extremely interested in foreign languages; I am half Belgian and speak fluent French, and have been employed in France on many occasions.
I am an ambitious candidate and believe that this position is the next logical step after having completed my bachelor's degree. My degree in English and French placed great importance upon creativity, maintaining and improving page quality, employing an appropriate tone, editing and proof reading dissertations and essays, and displaying an impeccable level of grammar, spelling and overall presentation which are central to this role. I strive in a productive, creative and demanding environment, and I believe that a position as tutor offers opportunities for both professional and personal development.
