Time and work

let's understand a very important topic time and work
always consider work as 1 unit
TO undertand this we take an example
Q) A does a work in 10 days and B does the same in 15 days. working together how many days will they take to complete?
solution- since A does whole work in 10 days so we can write
in 10 days work done by A = 1 unit
so, in 1 day work done by A= 1/10 unit
similarly work done by B in 1 day = 1/15 unit
Now total work done by A&B together in 1 day=( 1/10) + (1/15)=
so, total days taken by A&B together =1/(1/6)=6 days.
total no. of days taken by A&B together= (10*15)/(10+15)
