I studied calculus for two years in high school. I took AP Calculus AB my junior year and AP Calculus BC my senior year, and received a 5 on both AP exams as well as a 5 on the AB subset of the BC exam. Additionally, I have taken two semesters of calculus in college. I took Calculus III last semester and will be taking Linear Algebra with Differential Equations this coming semester.
As a college student myself, I realize that students may have difficulty learning a certain subject due to a variety of factors; especially as an engineering major, I understand that subjects such as math and science, specifically calculus and physics, may require more time and effort than other subjects. I want to help other students reach their goals, so please contact me to schedule lessons or to simply follow up with any questions or concerns!
Experience: 1 years
I am an undergraduate freshman at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN majoring in Electrical Engineering. I attended high school at Georgetown Preparatory School in North Bethesda, MD, where I tutored underclassmen in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 as a senior member of the National Honor Society chapter on campus. In addition to tutoring at Georgetown Preparatory School, I also informally worked with juniors and seniors at other high schools in my area in AP Calculus AB.
I continue to tutor at Vanderbilt University as a member of the organization InstrucDores, which works with middle school students at University School of Nashville. My parents always stressed the importance of education, and my own experiences in high school and college have helped me to better appreciate the value of learning.
