The bar examination in most U.S. states and territories is at least two days long (a few states have three-day exams) and usually consists of essay questions and multistage standardized examinations. Lessons are structured for essay questions according to how all jurisdictions administer several questions that test knowledge of legal principles, knowledge of the state’s own law (e.g., wills, trusts, community property). Since some jurisdictions choose to use the Multistage Essay Examination (MEE) - which covers business associations, conflicts of law, constitutional law, contracts, criminal law and procedure, evidence, family law, federal civil procedure, real property, torts, trusts and estates, and uniform commercial code, this is also a topic for lessons. Lessons also cover questions of a particular state’s law. Students must advise as to how to structure and organize lessons. I have two years of bar exam tutoring experience.
