Experience: 10 years
I have completed MS degree in molecular genetics from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad with 3.79 cGPA. During my course work I have studied Molecular genetics, advanced molecular biology and advances in immunology as core courses. I achieved gold medal in BSc Hons. degree in medical laboratory technology from King Edward Medical University Lahore. I am master trainer in biosafety and biosecurity at Pakistan Biological Safety Association where I got the training and boost my knowledge in this field.
Moreover, my MS project was on “Expression analysis of chloride channels in cancerous cells” where I learnt the molecular biology and bioinformatics techniques. In addition, I actively involved in a multidisciplinary research and experienced the cloning by transformation of plasmid into DH5α E.coli. Furthermore, I synthesized the iron oxide and hydroxyapatite nanoparticles and characterized them by XRD. My BSc Hons. research work was on fluctuation of serum potassium in open heart surgery patients at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology where analyzed the serum potassium of patients for three consecutive days after CABG.
Currently, I am Senior Technician at National Control Laboratory for Biologicals, Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, Islamabad and performing cell culture, potency testing, sterility testing, and also take part in review of documents for lot release certificate of biological products. Furthermore, I have more than 10 year experience in clinical, diagnostic and research laboratories. I previously supervised the hematology and clinical chemistry department at Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology Rawalpindi.
